Vegas Nexus ● UFC’s Paramount+ Debut Lands Saturday ● January 23-29, 2026
Here’s the thing about late January in Vegas: the convention crowds have mostly cleared out, the holiday tourists are gone, and what’s left is a week that actually belongs to us. This week delivers a UFC card that rewrites how we watch fights, the Eagles doing their thing at Sphere, and enough neighborhood happenings to remind you why living here beats visiting.
Worth Your Night
The Eagles at Sphere run all week long, with shows Thursday through Wednesday at 8pm. Yeah, it’s the Eagles at Sphere—if you need more convincing than that, you probably haven’t been inside that building yet. The venue transforms “Hotel California” into something you didn’t know it could be. Tickets start around $150, and parking is actually manageable if you hit the Venetian garage early.
UFC 324: Gaethje vs. Pimblett goes down Saturday, January 24 at T-Mobile Arena with prelims at 4pm and the main card at 6pm. This is the first numbered UFC event on Paramount+, which means no more pay-per-view charges—just your streaming subscription. Justin Gaethje takes on Paddy Pimblett for the interim lightweight title, and Sean O’Malley fights Song Yadong in what should be a banger of a co-main event. Tickets start at $44, which is a steal for a card this stacked.
Wanda Sykes: Please & Thank You Tour hits Palazzo Theatre on Friday, January 23 and Saturday, January 24 at 8pm. Emmy-winning comedy from someone who’s been making people laugh for over two decades, and she’s bringing Keith Robinson along for the ride. Tickets start at $66. If you’ve been sleeping on Wanda’s recent Netflix specials, this is your chance to catch up in person.
Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy transforms Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center on Saturday, January 24 at 8pm. Look, even if you’ve never touched a Final Fantasy game, this full symphony orchestra and HD video presentation is worth experiencing. Maestro Arnie Roth conducts music from Final Fantasy XIV and XVI, with original vocalist Amanda Achen joining for select pieces. Tickets run $74 to $189, and this is genuinely one of those multimedia concerts that justifies the Smith Center’s existence.
After Dark
Vegas Golden Knights vs. Dallas Stars happens Thursday, January 29 at T-Mobile Arena, 7pm puck drop. It’s Hello Kitty Night, which means limited edition VGK x Hello Kitty plush with special ticket packages starting at $85. The Stars always bring it, and if you haven’t caught a game this season, this is a solid pick. Regular tickets start at $44.
Stan Society: Best Song Ever – One Direction Dance Party takes over Brooklyn Bowl on Friday, January 23 with doors at 9pm. Yes, a One Direction dance party at a bowling alley concert venue. Sometimes Vegas just does Vegas things, and if you’re into it, you’re into it. At the same venue Saturday night at 9pm, Club 90’s throws down with their regular party for anyone who peaked in the ’90s.
Styx keeps their residency rolling at Venetian Theatre throughout the week. These classic rockers still deliver, and tickets start at $87. They’re doing five shows this run, so you’ve got options if your week suddenly opens up.
Quick Hits
Santana continues at House of Blues through the weekend, bringing his guitar wizardry to multiple shows. Zippy’s opens its fourth Southern Nevada location Monday, January 27 at 10810 W Charleston—Hawaiian comfort food finally expands west. UNLV Rebels vs. San Diego State tips off Saturday, January 24 at 1pm at Thomas & Mack Center. David Blaine does his mind-bending thing at Encore Theater Friday and Saturday. Taverna Costera in the Arts District has live music Friday at 6pm, no cover. GOLDN performs at Brooklyn Bowl Saturday at 5pm, tickets from $27.
Look, you’ve got options this week—from big-ticket spectacles to neighborhood spots that won’t drain your wallet. Pick what fits your Thursday night mood, or don’t. Either way, at least you know what’s worth showing up for.
